After a day of testing at Mosport International Raceway on Wednesday July 7th, 2010, Team Archambault Racing was very confident going in to the double header weekend Rounds 4 & 5 of the 2010 Part Canada Superbike Championship in Amateur Sport Bike. Wednesday’s testing proved to be an indication of things to come for Raphael Archambault by being first in practice with a time of 1:27.458 Unfortunately with Friday’s weather not cooperating with racers and officials, Thursday’s practice times were used to establish the qualifying positions for race day, where Raphael Archambault was first in Thursday afternoon practice with a time of 1:27.215. « On Saturday morning, I tried to put in some consistent laps and finalize adjustments of the motorcycle to be ready for the final. » Out of the gates, Raphael Archambault took the holeshot and maintained the lead early on, but saw Marcel Irinie take the lead away from him in turn 10 during the first few laps of the race. However, Raphael regained the lead shortly after for the remainder of the race taking the checkered flag by 0.105 over a pressing Steven Nickerson. « After the first few laps of the race, I saw on my pit board that I was not able to pull a gap on the other riders, so I tried not to make any mistakes, be as consistent as I could and win the Round 4 of Parts Canada Superbike Championship in Amateur Sport Bike. » « On Sunday morning, I knew it was going to be another very tight race and that I would have to fight 12 laps long for the win, so we worked a lot on the adjustments of the motorcycle to find the perfect set-up for the final. » Raphael Archambault once again grabbed the holeshot and as in Saturdays race, Raphael was being strongly challenged but this time it was Steven Nickerson who pulled a pass on Raphael Archambault in turn ten during the first few laps of the race. Raphael regained the lead on Steven Nickerson with a late braking manoeuvre after the back straight away and maintained the lead for the rest of the race, taking the checkered flag by 0.740 over Jody Greening. With Team Archambault looking forward to Rounds 6 & 7 at Atlantic Motorsport Park, Raphael now enjoys a 105 points lead over Jeremie Hade Precourt in the Amateur Sport Bike standings with 265 points, needing only 3 points to secure his third consecutive championship. Les essais de jeudi se sont avérés être une indication des choses à venir pour Raphael Archambault dans la réalisation d'une première position en pratique avec un temps de 1:27.458. Malheureusement, avec la température du vendredi, les officiels ont dû prendre une décision qui consistait à utiliser les temps de pratique du jeudi après-midi dans le but d'établir les positions de la qualification, où Raphael Archambault était premier avec un temps de 1:27.215. « Le samedi matin, j'ai essayé d’être le plus constant possible et de finaliser les ajustements de la moto pour être prêt pour la finale. » Résultat; Raphael Archambault a eu un très bon départ et a conservé son avance pendant presque toute la course, jusqu’à ce que Marcel Irnie effectue un dépassement dans le dernier virage, mais Raphael Archambault le redépasse tout de suite et passe le drapeau à damier avec 0.105 d’avance sur Steven Nickerson. « Après les premiers tours de la course, j’ai vu que je n’étais pas capable de créer un écart entre moi et les autres pilotes, alors j'ai essayé de ne pas faire d'erreur, d’être aussi constant que possible, pour finalement gagner le Round 4 du Parts Canada superbike championship 2010 en Amateur Sport Bike. » « Le dimanche matin, je savais que ça allait être une course très serrée et que je devrais me battre durant 12 tours pour gagner la course, alors nous avons beaucoup travaillé sur les ajustements de la moto pour trouver les réglages parfaits pour la finale. » Enfin, Raphael Archambault a eu de nouveau un très bon départ, mais cette fois-ci, c’est Steven Nickerson qui a effectué un dépassement sur Raphael Archambault dans le dernier virage, mais Raphael Archambault l’a redépassé en freinant un peu plus tard dans le virage huit, puis a maintenu la tête jusqu’à la fin de la course pour finalement passer le drapeau à damier par 0,740 sur Jody Greening. Raphael Archambault bénéficie aujourd'hui d'une avance de 105 points au classement en Amateur Sport Bike avec 265 points par rapport aux 160 points de Jeremie Hade Precourt. Plus que trois points et Raphael Archambault détiendra son troisième championnat consécutif avec Parts Canada Superbike Championship. Le Team Racing Archambault aimerait remercier ...
