Jordan Szoke moved ever closer to an exceptional perfect season, a groundbreaking seventh Canadian Superbike National Championship, and a fifth Pro Sport Bike Championship during rounds 4 and 5 of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship this past weekend at Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville ON.  In the most convincing fashion, Jordan Szoke swept the Superbike and Sport Bike wins for the weekend aboard his Waznie Racing/Ciclo Werks BMC DeWildt Honda CBR1000RR and CBR600RR.

Saturday’s Superbike race was tense as Jordan took a rock in the radiator during the warm up lap, and developed a major leak as he lined up on the starting grid. “I launched it really easy and babied it for the first few laps, keeping a close eye on the temperature.” says Szoke. “Once I knew things were ok, I pushed a little harder for the win.”  Jordan enjoys a 64 points lead going into Sunday’s race two Mosport’s doubleheader weekend.

Szoke turned the fastest lap of Sunday’s Superbike race on lap 3 of 20 and was five seconds clear of any of his competitors before the fifth lap.  He held that margin until he claimed he checkered, earning his 5th Superbike win in a row, tying the series record.  “I have won five in a row, three times in my career now, and I really want to win these last two in Nova Scotia.”  says Szoke  “I am going to do my best to do that, I want a perfect season, to stamp my name in the books.”

In other action, Szoke extended his lead in Pro Sport Bike with his fourth win of the season during the first half of the doubleheader weekend on Saturday.  Jordan lead all 14 laps on the 3.957 km Mosport Circuit from pole position, finishing 8 seconds over his closest rival.  Szoke earns a 42 points lead going into Sunday’s race.  Mirroring his Superbike accomplishments from the weekend, Szoke sweeps Pro Sport Bike with a spectacular battle with his closest competitor, swapping the lead repeatedly during the 14 lap race, until coming together two turns from the finish.  Szoke went on to claim the checkered and his fifth Pro Sport Bike win of the season.

It was a busy weekend for the Fast Company crew, as they also prepared Jordan’s wife Amy for her classes, AM Sport Bike and a cameo in Women’s Cup.  Amy lived up to her famous last name by scoring her first ever National Win in the Pro Honda Oils Women’s Cup on her CBR600RR.  Amy snatched the lead by the first lap, and led the entire race until three corners to the finish where she was passed by a fellow competitor.  Szoke was not finished yet as she dramatically re-passed for the lead in the last corner to earn her first national checkered flag. “I didn’t lead the entire race to give it to someone else so close to the end.  Jordan always tells me to never ever give up, so didn’t.” smiles Amy. “I was ecstatic to stand on the podium in front my family and major sponsors that could make it this weekend.  I really wanted to make them proud, it sure means a lot to me that I could win it today for all of us.”

Amy also finishes 11th and 12th respectively in her Am Sport Bike class, beating her personal best Mosport lap time by almost a second. “Jordan has been coaching me on how to put an entire race together, not just a fast lap here and there.” says Amy “I have been focusing very hard on becoming more consistent to take it to the next level.  I am very lucky to have the opportunity to not only pit with, but train, and live with a 12 time National Champion, I’m learning what it takes to become a racer.”

The Szoke’s would like to thank Joe Rocket Canada for creating their one-off promotional “Hardcore Canadian” leathers for the weekend, and BKDesigns for Jordan’s new custom Superbike helmet for 2010.

Watch for Jordan Szoke defending his 74 Points Superbike lead and a 53 Sport Bike points lead at the final two rounds of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship in Shubenacadie NS Canada on August 5-8.
